Nadia, the Hidden Fire Witch is based on a dream I had one night. Despite living most of her teenage years hiding from other witches, she risked it all to save the life of a friend. I was so inspired by her badassery that I created an outline and synopsis, and entered NaNoWriMo 2013 as a first time participant. After all, it would be an injustice to keep her in hiding amongst my dreams and in my notebook. Especially when she's ready for the world to know who she is.

Harbingers of El Tinor came to me as I was waiting for a late train after work. I know it sounds similar to how J.K. Rowling came up with Harry Potter, but I assure you that this was how Spiritus Mundi was born. The only difference had been that I had nothing to write on and so all the back story, plot, subplots, characters, themes, conflicts were all swirling around my head for months until I wrote everything down. It was a story I could not abandon and now after four years, it's starting to look like a good manuscript. The only requirement to make it greater is intense revision.
