NaNoWrimo started last week Friday at 12:00:00am.
I’d like to say I’m making headway with my writing, but whether or not I can fulfill the 50k word challenge and/or write a complete first draft, will remain to be seen. In the meantime, I’ve committed myself to spacing out the 1,667 words a day, it’ll take to complete NaNo.
When it comes to math, as soon as I hit fractions, I’m lost. And the only thing that might help me, is the meni mini mo approach. So correct me if I’m wrong.
1,667 words a day for the 30 days of November results in a 50,010 word count. If I were to write 500 words during my lunch hour, 500 and more after doing my motherly/wifely duties, then make up the rest of 667 words and 3,334 words over the weekend, I should hit the NaNo target all the same. Right?
Or I could just write 833.5 words, twice a day. Or just write as much as I can every day, as long as it comes to over 1,000 words.
And my stats as of right now? I’m at 3,786 words.
Is there anyone who’s participating in this year’s NaNo or who participated in previous years? What advice will you give to get through NaNo?
